Why It's SO Important To Manage Inflammation!

It is normal to have some inflammation after overusing muscles or a strenuous workout. It’s the painful, sore feeling you get afterward. Usually, stretching before and after a workout may help prevent injuries and manage inflammation. Even if you are adamant about stretching, you can get some small muscle tears. Blood flow increases in the area of the injury, as well as fluid, blood proteins, and white blood cells that move into the tissue.  This can often happen immediately after an injury-causing acute inflammation.

Although having some inflammation is ok, make sure to manage prolonged or excessive inflammation. This can be caused by stress, smoking, over-exercise, poorly controlled diabetes, sugar, trans fats, artificial sweeteners, processed vegetable oils, artificial sweeteners, refined carbs., excessive alcohol consumption, food sensitivities, and lack of sleep. Chronic inflammation can cause various health problems such as weight gain, fatigue, digestive issues, heart disease or stroke, and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

The health issues of chronic inflammation may seem severe, but the good news is that it is preventable with a healthy diet and lifestyle. Also, massage can help increase circulation by helping remove fluid from the tissues and decrease inflammation. Also, it can further help by reducing any secondary muscle tension from the pain created by the primary condition.
